DMG-C (DIMENSIONAL GAUGING MACHINE)

DGM-C (Dimensioning Gauging Machine)

This powerful yet compact system empowers manufacturers to maintain high quality standards across multiple production stages. Built for adaptability, it seamlessly integrates into hot-end, cold-end, and automated workflows. Perfect for operations looking to boost precision while reducing manual handling.

The Pro-Sight DGM-C machine is designed to inspect various body dimensions for critical defects, including:

  • Sink & Bulge label panel defects

  • Diameters (any point on the container)

  • Verticality

  • Ovality

  • Bent Neck (Sunken Shoulder)

  • Height

  • Sloping Top (Tilt Finish)

The DGM-C is available in three different variants, suitable for different locations, including:

Standalone

  • Compact

  • Simple to train & operate

  • Quick, accurate & repeatable

  • Cold-end or lab installation

Hot-End

  • Additional protection

  • Enhanced cooling

  • Bottle temperature monitoring

  • Tests bottles before the Lehr

  • Suitable for bottles up to 250°C

Auto Sampling

  • Automated load & unload

  • Fed by secondary online conveyor

  • Mould number communication with online equipment

  • Labour-saving benefits

  • “Return to line” function

Standalone

Flexible and compact for bench-side quality checks.

The Standalone DGM-C is designed for use in laboratories or directly beside the production line, giving operators quick access to accurate dimensional data. Ideal for regular sampling and QA analysis, it supports fast, in-depth insight into production quality.

Hot-End

Critical defect detection before the Lehr.

The Hot-End DGM-C variant allows operators to inspect bottles at temperatures up to 300°C, immediately after forming and before entering the Lehr. By identifying key defects early, it helps reduce waste, save Lehr time, and boost job-change efficiency — all without waiting for cold-end analysis.

Benefits include:

• Saves time, energy, and scrap

• Up to 1.5 hours saved per job change

• Ideal for quick-checking sample bottles before the Lehr

Auto-Sampling

Automated, in-line dimensional checks - no operator needed.

Fully networkable and designed for hands-free operation, the Auto-Sampling variant integrates directly into the line to perform routine dimensional checks automatically. Customisable inspection frequencies enable continuous process feedback while reducing labour demands and supporting digital transformation goals.

Benefits include:

• Scheduled hourly* dimensional checks

• Reduced operator involvement

• Real-time, production-driven data for process control

*Frequency customisable to suit production needs

This variant can also be supplied for the laboratory for automated batch testing.

Additional Functionality

For enhanced efficiency, the Auto-Sampling model features automated load and unload capabilities, along with a “return to line” function, delivering significant labour savings. The Hot-End package includes heat protection, a built-in cullet catch tray, and bottle temperature monitoring, making it ideal for demanding production environments.

Additionally, the Finish Dimensioning option provides in-depth analysis of E, T, L, F, N, S, and H dimensions, as well as tuck-under angles, radii, and finish details such as knock-out and flange seams.

With its compact footprint, high precision, and adaptable configurations, the DGM-C is a powerful solution for manufacturers seeking improved quality control and process automation in glass production.
